Fathers
Throughout the week so much of our attention has been spent with the children in and around our work sites. They have blessed us with their smiles and laughter. As I was on a site today my focus was turned away from the children and directed to the father of the family. He eagerly watched as we built the house he would soon call home. I could see the genuine relief and joy in his face and could tell that this was a huge blessing for him. As fathers we often take it upon ourselves to provide for our family. When things aren't as good as we think they should be we blame ourselves. I could tell this man had experienced some of that guilt and with every nail that was driven I could see it being taken away. I was truly moved to be able to help provide this relief for him. The Bible tells us many times to bear one another's burdens, and I am so honored to have this oppurtunity to put the word into action. We have truly been blessed by this experience and I have felt the Lord's presence with us during our time here. I pray for the fathers of the homes we will dedicate tomorrow, I pray that they will see that it all has come from God not a group of people. I pray that they will come to know a mighty God that will provide for all their needs!
